This uniquely Cretan wine uses the native Liatiko grape. It has aromas of raisins, caramel and fig plus red-black fruits like strawberry, plum blackberry, which are followed by scents of spice like cinnamon and clove. Medium-bodied with balanced acidity and tannins it is characterful wine with a juicy and pleasant aftertaste.
Try this with lamb or as a red to pair with salmon dishes.

The grape variety Liatiko is one of the most wildly grown native red varieties in Crete. It has a complex character that makes difficult for winemakers to use easily. The Petali Liatiko manages to reveal the endless richness of the Cretan vineyard through the unique aromatic profile and texture of this grape variety.
