Tasting Note
An earthy and well-structured wine that has a lovely aroma of red cherries, strawberry, cedar, spices, cigar and faint oak. The palate has sour cherries, raspberries, tobacco on the light-bodied palate. A very complex sip that lingers well with good acidity and tannin.
We recommend keeping this wine in the cellar for another couple of years before opening, and it could last another 10 years if stored in good conditions.

Gilles Remoriquet is not a winemaker who rests on his laurels, forever looking for ways to improve his wines. Most recently he has been to the Jura to see a specialist about selecting the right blend of manure and has bought a second sorting table which eliminates under-ripe berries by flotation. The attention to detail flows right the way through from his vineyards to the winery.
Nuits St George is the second largest appellation in the Cote d'Or which gives its name to the Cote de Nuits. There are 41 Premier Cru vineyards and it is known for Pinot Noir wines that are powerful and complex.
