The wine is incredibly complex, aromas blueberries, plums and figs then on the palate cinnamon, cloves, wild thyme and tobacco. Intense and full bodied with big textured tannins. A special wine that is drinking well but will continue to age and develop for years to come.

Paul Hobbs established Vina Cobos in 1999 10 years after falling in love with the Mendoza region on a road trip. He first 10 barrel vintage of Malbec persuaded the Amnerican press of the potential of what is now one of the worlds most popular grape varieties.
Single vineyard Malbec from Vina Cobos' Chanare Estate, located 1,184 metres above sea level in Mendoza. The vines here are planted on well drained alluvial soil with pebbles across the top soil. 100% Malbec aged in French oak (53% new) for 18 months before being bottled without fining or filtration.
